Frequently asked questions
How buying, pricing, assay, and shipping work at ACS Metals. Don't see your question? Call or send it with your lot details.
What's the minimum quantity you buy?
Container quantities are our core business — roughly 18–25 MT depending on material and stow. We also take smaller industrial lots of a single grade when the material is clean and well documented. Household or single-item quantities, no.
How do you price a lot?
Everything keys off the LME/COMEX exchange price for the metal, adjusted for grade, recovery, and volume. The ranges on our prices page are indicative for container quantities; the firm bid comes after we see your lot details — grades, condition, photos, and location.
How do assay and settlement work?
Each lot is weighed on certified scales at intake and sampled for assay. Settlement is adjusted to the actual metal content, in both directions — you're paid on what you delivered, not on an estimate. Full weight and assay documentation is issued per lot.
What are your payment terms?
Payment by wire transfer against verified scale weights and assay, on terms agreed before the material moves. For recurring suppliers we set standing terms in a supply agreement.
Can you handle transport and export paperwork?
Yes — container booking, drayage, loading supervision with photo records, sealed weights, and full export documentation to the buyer's spec are all part of the service. See services for the full chain.
Is there anything you don't accept?
We don't take radioactive-contaminated material, sealed or pressurized cylinders, or loads of unverifiable origin. Insulated wire is welcome but priced on assayed copper recovery, not gross weight.
Do you also sell processed metal?
Yes. We supply graded, documented lots to smelters, refiners, and mills in 30+ destinations — spot sales or recurring monthly volumes at formula pricing tied to LME/COMEX.
How fast will I hear back?
Send your lot details and you'll have a firm bid within one business day. For time-sensitive lots, call — the number at the top of the page reaches the trading desk directly.
